Undertake an in-depth study of the constitution and legal structure of the country

The program essentially aims to foster in eligible candidates, a meaningful understanding of basic philosophical tenets of Constitutional Law, and to train them in the fundamental legal structures and concepts that are found in constitutions across the world, such as basic rights, rule of law, judicial review, systems of governance, etc.
Constitutional Law forms the backbone of public law. The course sets a good base for higher studies in the discipline, by means of courses such as Ph.D./M.Phil. etc. for research. Successful postgraduates are skilled in understanding the essence of the constitution, and thus enabled to start practice in courts, or on private basis.
Students will be effective in representing clients dealing with agencies, as a lawyer needs to be familiar with the basics of administrative procedure, interpretation of the statutes defining an agency’s mission, and the development of facts in an administrative setting.
After this course students can choose from a wide range of substantive courses in fields in which administrative agencies are an active presence, and in which different modes of administrative agency action are used to shape law and policy
