Course Overview
The study of Substantial Law covers the Provisions of Information Technology Act (ITA) and gives an overview of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place Act (PoSH), Indecent Representation of Women’s Act and Human Rights Act concerning Cyber Crimes. The study of Procedural Law includes an in-depth look into the Provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC, Pre-Trial), Civil Procedure Code (CPC) and Indian Evidence Act (IEA) concerning Cyber Crimes.

Careers In this emerging techno-savvy environment, the world is becoming digitally sophisticated, and so are the crimes. The internet was initially developed as a research and information sharing tool and was hence, was largely unregulated.
As the years passed, it became more transactional with e-business, e-commerce, e-governance, e-procurement, etc. This gave rise to the need for a legal framework protecting data on the internet. All legal issues related to internet crime are dealt with through cyber laws. As the number of internet users rises, the need for cyber laws and their application has also gathered great momentum.
Post learning Cyber Law, participants can excel in the field of practising law (post-graduating), become a consultant for cybercrimes, and also excel in academics and conduct awareness campaigns.
